About Navien Boilers
Navien boilers are known for high AFUE ratings, stainless steel heat exchangers, and strong domestic hot water performance through combi and system configurations. They’re compact, wall-hung units that modulate well and can handle varying load demands efficiently when sized and piped correctly. In the field, they perform well but are sensitive to water quality, venting, and proper setup—poor installation is where most issues come from, not the equipment itself. Shawn Whalen installs Navien boilers with correct sizing, primary/secondary piping where needed, proper venting, and full commissioning including combustion checks. He also handles diagnostics, error codes, and maintenance like heat exchanger cleaning and system flushing to keep them running the way they’re designed to.
