About Mitsubishi
Mitsubishi is known for building some of the most consistent and cold-weather capable ductless and heat pump systems on the market. Their Hyper-Heat technology holds heating capacity in low outdoor temperatures where a lot of other brands start to fall off, which matters in New York winters. The indoor units are quiet, control is precise, and the inverter-driven compressors ramp properly instead of short cycling. Compared to more budget brands, Mitsubishi equipment tends to last longer and have fewer control-related issues, but they are less forgiving if the install is sloppy—line sets, flare connections, and system setup have to be done right or performance suffers.
